Finding Your Spark: From Passion to Powerful Branding

The day my grade 5 teacher asked me to try out for the softball team, I was surprised, nervous, excited. Very prestigious, since only grade 6s usually made the team. At that tryout, I discovered I had great hand-eye coordination. And I made the team! Excited? Motivated? Absolutely. Sports became a passion.

And when I made the team, I received my yellow cap. And yes, I was a little obsessed. I wore it everywhere: when I rode my bike to practice, when I walked to school and even when I went to the corner store. It fit my head perfectly. It was like a medal. It gave me a sense of pride and I felt recognized for a skill I had.

Then people started noticing.
“I saw you riding your bike here.”
“I saw you walking there.”

That little cap made me recognizable. It made me walk a little taller. Somewhere between the early morning rides and the dusty softball field, I’d found my thing.

Fast forward to now, and the same holds true for brands. When you reconnect with the spark that made you show up in the first place, everything shifts. Your brand, your voice, your confidence. It all becomes unmistakable. You become remarkable according to Seth Godin. You are worth being remarked on.

Why this matters for Q4:
Before the year ends, take a moment to notice what still excites you about your work. Capture it. Show it. Let your story, your energy, and your visuals remind people why you’re here — and why you matter.

If your brand could use a visual refresh to capture that spark before the year ends, let’s make it happen.
